Redesigning Park Street

Looking for a way to spend your weekend? The city is hosting a community charrette for the Park Street North of Lincoln plan.

This half-day, highly interactive session will help clarify the community vision and will form the foundation of a Strategic Plan for the commercial district north of Lincoln. The Strategic Plan will reflect the community needs and guide future growth and development while improving the quality of life for the surrounding neighborhoods.

With the departure of Alameda’s historic Auto Row, the city is trying to get a jump on where to go from here. Now’s the time to jump in and give a little input early in the process. The long term payout is much better that way. (Of course, you can always go for the more traditional “I’m too busy now, I’ll just wait and complain later” approach.)

The community has already voiced its preference for mixed use in this area, get in there and be a part of the solution!

  • Charrette: Saturday, March 15, 2008 9:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.

Alameda Free Library, 1550 Oak Street, in Stafford Meeting Rooms A and B.
