Thursday night (4/24), the League of Women Voters of Alameda will hold their umpteenth annual “Meeting you Public Officials” night at the Harbor Bay Community Center (near La Vals).
This a great opportunity to meet the various City Council members, County Supervisors, board and commission folks, who dedicate their time to the city of Alameda. No panels, no Q&A, just a good old fashioned, down-home mingle. (no fiddlers though). I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for this event as four or five years ago, it was here that the seeds of the Alameda Transportation Master Plan were created.
It’s also a fundraiser for a great organization. Tix are $10.
