Stop, Drop and Roll

Alameda, August 29, 2007 Alameda Power & Telecom reports that the California Independent System Operator (ISO) may declare Stage 1 and Stage 2 Emergencies, calls for reduced electric use, on both Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon.

Although Alameda’s power supplies are secure, the utility is encouraging consumers to join in the effort to curtail electric use in order to ensure that the State’s transmission grid and supplies remain available to serve all Californians.
