City Announces Convenient Battery Recycling Program
The City of Alameda’s Public Works Department announced today the expansion of its Household Battery Recycling Program to increase convenience for Alameda residents. Under this program, which is provided in association with the Alameda County Waste Management Authority (www.stopwaste.org), household battery drop-off stations will be placed at key locations throughout the city.
Alameda residents may drop-off alkaline, rechargeable, and lithium batteries at any of the following locations:
City Hall – 2263 Santa Clara Avenue
City Hall West – 950 W Mall Square (Alameda Point)
Maintenance Services Center—1616 Fortmann Way
Alameda Power & Telecom—2000 Grand Street
Alameda Free Library – 1550 Oak Street
Mastick Senior Center - 1155 Santa Clara Avenue
Pagano’s Hardware Mart – 1100 Lincoln Avenue
Encinal Hardware – 2801 Encinal Avenue
Alameda County Industries – 2307 Blanding Avenue, Suite B
