Stop, Drop and Roll

On September 4, 2007, the City of Alameda announced the completion of the Operational Review of the Chuck Corica Golf Complex. The study, which was prepared by the National Golf Foundation, includes:

• A review of current management practices, policies, procedures, and training practices.
• A review of current operation and maintenance procedures.
• An identification of capital improvements that will be required to bring the Complex into a competitive market position.
• A five-year financial pro forma for the complex.
• A series of recommendations for future operational changes.

The document is scheduled for review by the Golf Commission during its meeting of September 19, 2007. The item will then be forwarded, along with the Golf Commission’s comments, to the City Council for review in the near future.
The report will be available for review on the City’s website at www.ci.alameda.ca.us beginning Thursday, September 6, 2007.
