Rec and Parks announces new Summer day Trips

Summer Parks Release 2007!

Participants of all ages are encouraged to attend Rec and Parks Day Trips.

The second trip of the summer takes us to the Woodminster Amphitheater in the Oakland Hills to see The Wizard of Oz. On Sunday, August 12th we will spend an evening under the stars watching the classic story unfold on the stage. The characters of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Woodsman, and the Cowardly Lion will come to life in front of your eyes. Participants will be picked up from the Park & Ride Lot, 300 Island Drive, in Alameda at 7:00 p.m. The cost is $30.00 per person. The cost includes theater ticket and bus transportation. Tickets, without transportation, are also available for $23.00 per person. The registration deadline is Thursday, August 9, 2007.
